Description
Here at Pearl Harbor Tours, we make sure to offer tours to the most popular historic locations. Adding to this list, we would like to introduce you to a new excursion of this famous site, The Pearl Harbor War Memorials Tour from Kahului, Maui. This tour will include roundtrip airfare from Kahului, Maui and visits to the following famous Pearl Harbor locations: the USS Arizona Visitors Center and Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine, and the Pacific Aviation Museum.
Your splendid tour of Pearl Harbor will begin with airport pick up in Honolulu. Then, your guide will offer a remarkable narration of the events that led to the Pearl Harbor attacks on December 7th, 1941. Your first stop at Pearl Harbor will be the USS Arizona Visitors Center and Memorial. View documented footage of the Pearl Harbor attacks and ride a real US Navy shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial. At the memorial, peer down at the wreckage of the USS Arizona Battleship. Notice the “black tears of the Arizona,” the shrine room, and more. After riding back to the Visitors Center, finish off with a visit to the WWII Museum and gift shop.
Next stop on tour will be the USS Bowfin Submarine, which is located a short stroll away from the USS Arizona Visitor’s Center. Discover the exterior and interior of this vessel and view its narrow hallways and sleeping quarters.
After you visit the USS Bowfin, take a ride to Ford Island’s Pacific Aviation Museum. See and learn about historical aircrafts from around the world.
Once you have finished viewing the Pearl Harbor War Memorials, your guide will take you through historic Honolulu. See the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific, King Kamehameha Statue, Iolani Palace and more. You will also pass by some locations significant to the early life of President Barack Obama.
Reserve a seat with Pearl Harbor Tours for a flight from Kahului, Maui to Honolulu, Oahu and visit some of the top sites at Pearl Harbor along with downtown Honolulu. We’ll take care of the airfare and transportation and deliver some exciting history, cultural facts, and more along the way. It is so easy to travel between islands in one day, so let us help you do just that!
Attention: As of January 26th, 2010, this tour selection will no longer be available. If you are traveling on or after this date, please consider our Tour 8M: World War II Start to End Tour
