Near the USS Arizona Memorial, reached via a free shuttle bus over to Ford Island, this aviation museum is a must for war history hounds, especially of WWII and the Korean War. If you plan to go to the Arizona Memorial and Museum (another favorite) make to time to visit the USS Missouri and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum on Ford Island.

The Battleship USS Missouri, the USS Bowfin Submarine & Museum and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor are not affected and remain open to visitors.

You will have ample time to experience all the museums, memorials and historical exhibits at the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center. Visitors will continue to see the 25-minute documentary film followed by a harbor tour of Battleship Row in close proximity to the USS Arizona Memorial. The addition of the Battleship Missouri Memorial in 1999, the opening of the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum in 2006, and the inauguration of the new Pearl Harbor Visitor Center in 2010 further enhance the experience at this historic site. The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and the USS Arizona Memorial are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
